New approaches to diagnostics and therapy in the treatment of breast cancer, the importance of complementary procedures and a Q&A session with experts - these are some of the highlights of the Breast Cancer Info Day 2025, which will take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1 to 6 p.m. in the lecture hall wing of the LMU Klinikum on the Großhadern campus. Organizers are the Breast Center of the Women's Clinic at the LMU Clinic (Clinic Director Prof. Sven Mahner, Head of Breast Center Prof. Nadia Harbeck) and Breast Cancer Germany e.V., represented by Renate Haidinger and her team. Not only those affected are invited, but also relatives and friends as well as doctors, nurses and therapists who are involved in the care of people with breast cancer. Detailed information about the event can be found at www.brustkrebsinfotag.de.

In their presentations, the experts will provide information on standards and new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. They will also discuss the findings from the world's largest breast cancer congress in San Antonio (USA) in December 2024 and address the importance of complementary procedures that many patients use to improve their personal quality of life.

A panel of prominent experts will also answer questions that participating patients can now ask as part of their online registration at www.brustkrebsinfotag.de. Registration is not mandatory; interested parties are also welcome to come to Großhadern spontaneously on February 26.

Breast Cancer Info Day 2025 will be given a special touch by Pink Voices, the women's choir of brustkrebs-muenchen e.v., who, with their conductor Joy C. Green, will "celebrate the wonderful things in life" and invite you to sing along in their half-hour concert.

The Breast Centre at LMU Hospital Munich and Breast Cancer Germany have been working closely together for more than 20 years, including organizing the annual Breast Cancer Information Day. In addition, Renate Haidinger, Chairwoman of Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V., regularly offers consultation hours for patients at the LMU Clinic Breast Center.

Detailed information on the event and many videos for in-depth information are available at www.brustkrebsinfotag.de .
